Privacy & Infrastructure Transparency
This site is built by an engineer, for engineers. No targeted ads. No data sales. No invasive tracking pixels.
What does run here are the third-party services that keep the infrastructure secure, performant, and functional. Here is exactly what they are and how they interact with your data.
Analytics & Telemetry - Cloudflare
Cloudflare handles edge routing and web analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-first and strictly cookie-free. It gives me basic telemetry - page load times, referring sites, which articles get read - without tracking you across the internet or collecting personally identifiable information.
Hosting & Content Delivery - Ghost and PikaPods
This site runs on the Ghost publishing platform, hosted in an isolated container via PikaPods. If you subscribe to the newsletter, Ghost stores your email address securely for the sole purpose of sending you new articles.
Email Routing - Mailgun and Letterbird
Outbound newsletter delivery is handled by Mailgun. If you use the contact form to reach out directly, that message routes through Letterbird. Neither service stores your data beyond what is required to deliver the message.
Link Management - Rebrandly
Branded short links on this site run through Rebrandly under the go.snownative.com domain. When you click one, Rebrandly logs basic anonymized routing data - click counts and geographic region - to confirm the links are functioning. Nothing personally identifiable is collected.
System Monitoring - Uptime Kuma
Uptime Kuma monitors site health by periodically pinging public endpoints to confirm the server is online. It does not interact with reader data in any form.
Your Data
If you subscribed to the newsletter and want out, every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. If you want your email purged from the database entirely, reach out and it gets done. No friction, no retention campaigns, no dark patterns.
Content & Attribution
All written content on this site is original work by Zach Snow and is protected under copyright. You are welcome to quote or reference anything published here - just link back to the source. Do not republish articles in full without reaching out first.
If something here solved a problem or saved you time, a link is the right way to say so.
